In order to reach the community you must WORK with the community. ASK AYO has almost 20 years experience meeting her students (and families) close to home. Ms. Ayo has provided direct counseling services & prevention education to schools, community agencies, colleges and psycho-educational facilities. She is not afraid to travel to get her message to the youth. It is ASK AYO's goal to ENGAGE by using children's literature, social media platforms, individual/group counseling and public speaking engagements.

After you have engaged the community, the real work of EDUCATING them begins. As a licensed counselor, ASK AYO has the background and experience both professionally and personally to enrich and uplift families. Ms. Ayo knows how to tackle the tough topics in an informative and often humorous manner. "It isn't easy for educators, parents and school districts to broach difficult topics such as teen dating violence, sexual health, internet safety, child sexual abuse/assault, and drug/alcohol abuse. When we educate our children, we make them TOUGH in a scary world".

ASK AYO understands that youth navigate through many challenges and their feelings are often ignored and discounted. Children suffer with depression, anxiety etc. and can process trauma in negative ways. This is a forum where parents and youth can ASK AYO about building mentally healthy young people. Skills and tips will be shared from Ms. Ayo's 15 years serving the mental health needs of hundreds of students and their families in the central Ohio community. Ask Ayo understands when her students are ENGAGED and EDUCATED they are ultimately EMPOWERED!
is the first children's book in the ASK AYO book series. The book urges readers ,of all ages, to be confident when refusing a situation that threatens their personal safety. "My Body is Mine" was designed as a prevention tool by a School Counselor that witnessed many of her students suffer through sexual abuse. The author wanted families and schools to be comfortable creating a dialogue about a topic that is often ovelooked .
